Journal of a voyage from New Bedford to San Francisco, upper California, 1849 Apr. 1 - Sept. 27.

An account (204 p.) kept by an unidentified gold-seeker, describing the voyage around the Horn on the America, with stops at St. Catherine Island and at Callao, with a visit to Lima also; arrival in San Francisco on Sept. 2l. The last three pages record his impressions of the city. Includes: a pen and ink sketch showing the ship's course, 20 Sept. 1849 off the Golden Gate. With this, as v. 2: printer's dummy prepared by John Henry Nash for proposed publication of the journal in 1935.
